Second Tour does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. We do not collect your name, email address, Social Security number, or any identifying information through the app itself.
All information you enter into Second Tour — service branch, paygrade, years of service, VA disability rating, dependents, SBP/VGLI elections, federal civilian service details, and any saved profiles — is stored locally in the app's private storage area on your device. This data is never automatically transmitted to us or to any third party.
Second Tour does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software. We do not know how you use the app, what figures you enter, or how often you open it. There are no ads in Second Tour.
Second Tour does not integrate with any third-party financial data services, government systems, or cloud sync providers. The app references publicly available pay tables, VA compensation rates, OPM annuity rules, and federal tax bracket data for its calculations — none of this involves sending your personal inputs anywhere. The only "third party" involved in how the app works is Apple itself, through standard iOS system features (the Files/Share sheet and the App Store for purchase and updates), which are governed by Apple's own privacy practices.
Second Tour is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the app collects no personal information from any user in the first place, this applies equally regardless of age.
Because everything lives on your device, you are always in control. Deleting the app removes its local data. You can export a PDF report at any time, and you can delete individual profiles or scenarios from within the app whenever you like.
If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Second Tour after a change means you accept the updated policy.
