Privacy Policy

LedgerKeep · Last updated: July 12, 2026
The short version: LedgerKeep does not collect, transmit, or sell your financial data. Everything you enter — accounts, transactions, categories, payees — is stored only on your device. We don't have servers that receive your ledger, we don't run analytics or advertising SDKs, and we can't see your data even if we wanted to.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

LedgerKeep does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. We do not collect your name, email address, financial account numbers, or any identifying information through the app itself.

2. Where Your Data Lives

All financial information you enter into LedgerKeep — account names and balances, transactions, categories, payees, and recurring transaction schedules — is stored locally in the app's private storage area on your device. This data is never automatically transmitted to us or to any third party.

3. Face ID / Touch ID

If you enable the optional app lock in Settings, LedgerKeep uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework to request Face ID or Touch ID verification. This authentication happens entirely on your device, using Apple's own secure hardware. LedgerKeep never has access to your biometric data — Apple simply tells the app "yes" or "no," and we never see the underlying scan.

4. Analytics, Advertising & Tracking

LedgerKeep does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software. We do not know how you use the app, what transactions you enter, or how often you open it. There are no ads in LedgerKeep.

5. Third-Party Services

LedgerKeep does not integrate with any third-party financial data services, banks, or cloud sync providers. The only "third party" involved in how the app works is Apple itself, through standard iOS system features (Face ID, the Files/Share sheet, and the App Store for purchase and updates), which are governed by Apple's own privacy practices.

6. Children's Privacy

LedgerKeep is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the app collects no personal information from any user in the first place, this applies equally regardless of age.

7. Your Control Over Your Data

Because everything lives on your device, you are always in control. Deleting the app removes its local data. You can export your own data at any time via Export & Backup, and you can delete individual accounts, transactions, or backup files from within the app whenever you like.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of LedgerKeep after a change means you accept the updated policy.
